Top 10 List
Below are some of my favorite places to find the best craft supplies.
My Top 10 List, in no particular order:
- Michael’s. This is an obvious choice, but I have to mention it since this is the store most people think of when they think of crafts. Seriously, this store has everything. You’ll find most of your basic craft supplies here. Check their flyers and online coupon sites for discount. Michaels has discounts on their websites frequently, so be sure to look for coupons before you head to the store.
- Your home. This may be a surprise choice, but you probably have more craft supplies hiding somewhere than you know. Many times I thought I needed to buy something for a project, but I found substitute objects around the house instead.
- Joann. Another good source for craft supplies. You’ll find more selection of fabric here. You can look for coupons here.
- Garage sale / flea markets. Always a good place to find some unexpected items that can be incorporated into a craft project.
- Etsy. Etsy is an online marketplace for handmade goods, but you can also find one of a kind craft supplies here.
- Snapfish. Get 20 free prints when you sign up. This is a great way to get some free prints for your scrapbooking project.
- ReproDepot Fabrics. If you’re making something with fabric, this is a great place to buy fabulous fabric. They carry a huge selection.
- VistaPrint. You can get 250 business cards for free. You may be wondering what do business cards have to do with craft. I use these free business cards as gift tags. You just select a fun design you like and enter whatever information you want (name, phone, etc). Then, when it comes time to wrap a gift, I just take one card and punch a hole. Now all you have to do is write a little short message and put a ribbon through the hole. Easy as pie.
- Amazon – has a vast selection of craft books for you & your kids. Whether you’re looking for craft books for preschool kids, young kids or teenage kids, you’ll find them here.
- Walmart – Martha Stewart has a line of craft supplies at Walmart now. I’m eyeing this.
